Exciting Roads Ahead…

It has been over a year since I have posted. It has been a crazy year. I started this blog and then abandoned it. Life is like that sometimes. You start something and are excited for a new adventure, and then life happens, and that new adventure gets set aside for another time.

I want to take this time to flesh out my plans for this blog. I started this blog with one idea in mind, reviews and recommendations. Over the past year, while this blog has been sitting, untouched, my ideas for what I wanted this site to be have grown and changed. I have grown and changed.

At its heart, this will still be a book blog, with reviews and recommendations, along with other bookish posts. I will also post stories about my life, my experiences, and other fun, non-bookish posts.

Shortly after starting this blog, I made the decision to leave the veterinary field after nearly 10 years. It was a tough decision, but a decision I needed to make for my own mental health. I have been working at a standard 9-5 office job for nearly a year now; something I never thought I would do. Now, that I have settled into my new normal, I finally feel that I have the time and mental space to dedicate to this blog; something I have wanted for a long time.

Things that you can expect from this blog: book reviews and recommendations, bookish spotlights, bookish listicles and surveys, book hauls and unhauls, posts about my life and experiences, posts about animals and coffee, and so much more. The sky is the limit. The most unique and fun fact about all of these posts, is that they will all be decided by the roll of a die. That’s right, each post will be based on the roll of a four-sided die. Evens will be a book review and recommendation. Odds will be further determined by a twenty-sided die. I have made a list of blog post ideas that correspond with a number. Each post will be left to fate, and completely random.

I am excited to start this new adventure, and look forward to where it takes me. So come along on this new journey!
